About

The goal of the Society for Green Science and Technology (SGST) is to provide opportunities for scientists and engineers to exchange useful information on green science and technology, discuss new developments in relevant technologies, and to more fully understand the societal implications of deploying such technologies, including projected impacts on planet earth (e.g., greenhouse gases and their effects). The SGST seeks to organize symposia and other opportunities for information exchange, to coordinate with other professional societies, and to provide opportunities for research publication, particularly in peer reviewed media.

The SGST is a start-up non-profit corporation that was created in 2008 for the purposes listed above. It was recognized as a non-profit public charity, exempt from Federal income tax under section 501 ( c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code on December 5, 2008. Contributions to the SGST are deductible under section 170 of the Code. The SGST is also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the Code.
